September Update:

Praise in the Park 2010 is only two months away.  This year is a first for Praise in the Park in that we've added a second day of praise and worship.  In addition to a tremendous Saturday headlined by Casting Crowns, we're looking forward to Sunday Southern Gospel with Jason Crabb, Crabb Revival, and Rod and Staff.  If you have any questions about the two day event please email us below.

Here is a checklist for Praise in the Park 2010:

  • Food and Merchandise Booths.  ALL FOOD BOOTHS ARE SOLD OUT.  We have reduced the price of the merchandise booths to $100 to help grow this part of the event.  The merchandise booths are available to anyone as long as the committee approves of the items to sell.  Information booths are also available for your ministry.  Go to the Vending link for the details.
  • Purchase tickets.  The ticket structure is weekend passes are only $20, $12 for single day tickets, or $15 day of concert.  You can purchase tickets at the Store link above or in Lucedale at J&B Feeds, Christian Books and Gifts, or at Century Bank Marketplace location.  Another option is to buy from the Band Contest link above for $10 each.
  • Download the official Praise in the Park poster to print for display in your church or youth room.  You can do that at this link.
  • Please pray for the event!  Pray that the Lord will use this as an opportunity to speak to the lost and the saved alike.

We added the video below so the contemporary Christian music people, like us, could get more familiar with Southern Gospel.  This is our new favorite song!  It has such a powerful message that we can't encourage you enough to take 3 minutes and 47 seconds out of your schedule to watch.  Thank you Lord for your guidance....Saturday is going to be an awesome day in the Lord with Casting Crowns and we can't wait, but what about Sunday?

August Update

Here's an August update for Praise in the Park 2010:

We just received our concert poster and tickets should be printed in a few weeks. If you would like to download a poster to print for your youth room or church go to the links page for the download button.

Ticket sales are HOT! We've never sold as many tickets as we have at this point in the previous 6 years (sold one to a guy in Australia). The two day event is generating a lot of excitement and the return of Casting Crowns has everybody full of anticipation of another huge blessing. Plus the free Wavorly concert is also generating some buzz.

All Saturday food vending spots are filled. If you are a ministry and would like to raise money for your ministry there are still a few spots left for Sunday. Information and Merchandise booths are still available for Saturday. The Merchandise booths are available to anyone as long as you are approved by the committee. What an opportunity for Merchandise booths: access to over 10,000 people!

FREE FREE FREE WAVORLY concert Saturday before the main gates open. There will be a downtown stage near the food and merchandise vendors where local artists will be performing starting at 12PM noon. This stage will be headlined by Wavorly. If you don't know these guys they're a group from north Mississippi that have been blessing crowds around the country.

At our website, we also added a "Frequently Asked Questions" page. If you have a question that is not already answered on the page email us your question and we'll add it to the page.

Check out the band contest before you buy your tickets. Your ticket purchase could be the one that gives one of these bands a chance to perform on the main stage Saturday.

God Bless and please be praying for Praise in the Park 2010!

July Update

July Praise in the Park 2010 Update:

Check out the line-up below!!!! The opening acts for Casting Crowns on Saturday will be Building 429, Mikeschair, and Abandon. We also have two spots reserved for band contest winners on the main stage. Take a listen to the contestants at the "Band Contest" link above and vote for one when you buy your tickets.

This year Wavorly will headline the free downtown stage. The free downtown stage will be near the food and merchandise vendors. This stage kicks off at noon on Saturday so come out to the event early and eat some good food, buy some good stuff, and hear Wavorly headline for free.

June Update

It's an exciting time for Praise in the Park. Planning for the 2010 event are in full swing. It's exciting for us in 2010 because God has blessed us with a 2nd day of praise and worship. Day 2 will be Sunday October 24th with Jason Crabb and Crabb Revival.
